There is a road accross Tokyo Bay that is called Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line. Connecting Chiba and Kanagawa Prefectures, this road is unique because it’s half bridge, half tunnel. What’s make it even more unique is the place where you can stop right between the bridge part and the tunnel part. This place is an artificial “island” … More Umi-Hotaru: Not Your Usual Truck Stop
I made a quick visit to Nakano Broadway recently because I heard a lot about it. A “smaller Akihabara”, a place “where all subcultures coexist”… I really didn’t know what to expect and really wanted to check it out. Right out of Nakano station, there’s a covered shopping arcade. I guess it must depend where you’re from… but for me, back home we have never ending fiasco with highway construction issues, and viaducts that keep falling apart. Therefore, seeing the Hakozaki junction was truly impressive to me. I couldn’t count how many roads are meeting at that place, but the sight of all these … More Hakozaki Junction : The Place You Won’t Find In Your Guidebook

There are so many details, symbols, things to do, things to eat… If you don’t have the chance to celebrate with a Japanese family, you can still see the shimekazari (しめ飾り) or shimenawa (しめ縄) hanging outside many doors, as well as kadomatsu (門松) at the entrance of … More Japan’s New Year’s Decorations
I attended this concert at Tokyo Dome a few weeks ago already but didn’t have time to post about it until now. I’ve seen BIGBANG live at least 6 times I think, and this concert was quite different than the others I’ve seen before. They didn’t sing some hit songs they used to always sing. … More BIGBANG World Tour 2015-2016 – [MADE] in Japan
Shinjuku South Terrace lights are always simple and pretty, but they’ve been the same for at least 3 years… I was expecting something different. But still pretty !
Ueno Park is currently decorated with beautiful lanterns featuring ukiyo-e artworks. It’s truly beautiful and add some colors to the park that is usually rather dark at night.
