Cherry Blossoms at Koishikawa Korakuen

It was my first time visiting this park and I will certainly go back. It’s very pretty, quite large but not too much, and it offers plenty of nice views. There are two hills that offer particularly nice views. There were not so many cherry trees, but they were beautiful. There were other flowers to see, too. The fact that it’s not a major spot and that there’s a fee (200 yens) to enter made it not so crowded. (I’m definitely avoiding Ueno park this year)

It is just besides Tokyo dome, which makes a very unusual background. There was a baseball game when I went, so I could hear the crowd cheering. A very interesting soundtrack for a visit to a traditional Japanese garden !
