A Rainy Day in Shinjuku Gyoen… Spring Has Not Arrived Yet

I went to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden in order to see the plum blossoms. Unfortunately, the weather was not very good, and the flowers only started to bloom, so I didn’t see many. Also, half of the park was closed because trees have been damaged by the snowstorm.

However, the park is so large that I didn’t mind half of it being closed. Also, I was happy to find a beautiful greenhouse opened to visitors. I’ll certainly be back in this relaxing park when springs comes !

These are kanzakura, a variety of cherry blossoms that bloom really early. There was only this small tree, unfortunately, but it was beautiful.
