Kuala Lumpur : National Mosque, Palace and Monument

The National Mosque is open for visitors, but headscarves are mandatory for women. We were given a headscarf and a robe at the entrance. It was quite interesting to wear something like this for the first time, but it was so hot !

Afterwards, we headed for the national palace, where the actual king lives. We can only watch it from the entrance. The weather was so hot and humid, it looked painful for the guards and the horses.

Finally, we went to see the National Monument, a bronze sculpture commemorating those who died in Malaysia’s fight for freedom.

There is a nice garden near the monument.

Malaysia’s national flower : the hibiscus.
