We went to the Chongdong theater to see Miso. It is described as a traditional Korean arts stage. We got a great discount with our Ewha student IDs and our seats were excellent. The show was beautiful and very entertaining. They explain the story in English, Japanese and Chinese, and the performance is not narrated, so knowing Korean language is not necessary to understand.
Chongdong theater is reached by a small and charming street along the walls of the Deoksugung palace. The nice employees in traditional costumes welcomed us with a cup of tea. After the performance, the actors went outside. There was more dance (viewers could participate) and music and then people could take pictures with them.
Overall, I loved the show except for two men in front of me who were talking loudly during all the show. One of them even talked on his phone, even if it’s really clearly indicated that cellphones should be turned off.
