Jeju Island Tour Part 2

Second stop : Seopjikoji. Originally, we were supposed to visit a museum about women divers but the guide told us the divers would not be there today, and he suggested to go to Seopjikoji instead. We agreed : more walking, but nice views ! It’s a famous place for fans of Korean dramas, since the famous drama All In was filmed there.

All In filming location :

Time for lunch ! We had Jeju Island’s famous black pork barbecue. It was delicious !

After lunch, we went to Seongeup Folk Village. This village has been designated as a Folklore Preservation Zone. People who live there are actually paid by the government ! We saw old houses with thatched roofs.

You can see these statues everywhere on the island. They are called Dolharubang (stone grandfather) and are made of lava. According to our guide, they were originally a symbol of fertility.
